Many parts of your microscope can be updated or replaced including microscope lamps, lenses, and eyepieces. Replacement lamps, light sources, and power cords can extend the working lives of your microscopy equipment. New or replacement objectives and lenses can help increase the total magnification available with your microscope.
Add greater magnification or exchange your eyepiece for one with a reticule to more easily estimate the sizes of the items being viewed.
Replace or update your mechanical stage or clamps or add cell culture vessel adapters to facilitate specimen positioning.
Condensers can also be replaced, and conversion kits are available to add phase contrast, polarization, fluorescence, or other capabilities to your current system.
Some microscopes can be adapted for use with still or video cameras. Look for cameras and adapters designed for your specific microscope brand. Film and documentation-related products may also be available to support your record-keeping.

Micrometer Slide Micromanipulator
The M325 three-axis manual micromanipulator is built of precision micrometer-actuated linear slides. Each slide is comprised of a large micrometer head and a spring-return linear slide. The micromanipulator was designed to minimize wear in the moving components to achieve a long operational life without the necessity for frequent maintenance. The micrometer head is graduated in 10 µm steps which enable repeatable positioning to an accuracy of ± 2 µm.
A unique spring return mechanism is used to transmit movement of the micrometer spindle to the slide carriage, eliminating backlash, lost motion and reducing thread wear. Each linear slide utilizes ball bearings which enable the M325 to carry loads of up to 1 kg.
The tool holder can clamp onto tools with shaft diameters of 3.0 mm to 12.7mm and allows rotation around two axes.

Right-handed micromanipulator with vertical lock with 1/2 inch rod clamps. The MM-33 is the right choice for tight environments which require maximum versatility within a small space. Stainless steel cross-loaded roller bearings are designed to offer low friction and smooth linear motion with a minimum of side play. The pre-loaded rollers are set at 90 degrees to the hardened steel guides insuring constant contact and accuracy. This precise rack and pinion drive gives stable, drift-free movement with minimal backlash. The controls are placed one above the other which makes for less hand movement and easier positioning. The scales for all axes are calibrated in 0.10mm increments and the fine micrometer adjustment for the X-axis thrust is calibrated at 0.01mm with estimates to 5μm.
